Awesome Book by an awesome author whom you will fall in love with

Wow! Wow! Wow! This is the third book in a series, but I do think you could read it without having read the others. That being said, I will say DON’T read it without reading the others because you will be doing yourself a disservice. The first two books in the series are about Blake and Liane. This one is about their son, Carter. L. L. Collins has this knack of pulling readers in with realistic characters and situations. These are real people with real problems. They are human and make mistakes. But, they love with all they have. While I read on of her books I feel every thought and every emotion through actions and words. You will be blessed with reading this book. The prologue explains Carter’s past. If you read the other Twisted books then you will know what poor Carter has gone through. His past has shaped him. Let me rephrase that, what his “dad” did in his past shaped him. And, I’m not talking about Blake. That would be the evil Ronan from the first two books. Carter is a character who changes throughout the book. His parents, Julia, and even Julia’s family changes who Carter thinks he is. Carter has just graduated and covets an internship in Denver. The first day there he meets the boss’ daughter, Julia. Whoo!! Hoo!! But, being who he is he fights every emotion. I. Like. Julia. She is blunt with Carter making her exactly what he needs. I’m not sure which Carter I like the best. Jealous Carter? Sexy Carter? Loving Carter? Mad Carter? Scared Carter? He has so many facets. I loved the games that these two played while getting to know each other. One of my favorite scenes was when Carter was chatting with a little boy named Garrett. That was precious. I love the way that L. L. Collins incorporates music within her books. There is always a playlist at the end to go along with the book. My favorite quote from the book would be: “Because love not only shows up, it stands up. This is me, standing up for you.” I am honored to have read such a great story. I love Carter, Julia, and Carter’s family. And, I must say that L. L. Collins made me even begin to like Julia’s family at the end. I can’t say enough about this book. I promise that you will enjoy every second. If you have never read anything by this author before, then you have found a new favorite. Dual point of view. No cliffhanger.

** I received this book as an ARC for a honest review** Okay with that being said I also bought a copy. That's how much I loved it.
I have all eight of her books I have bought them one by one and then got the box set.

What can I say Carter wants his dream job and nothing and nobody will get in the way of that. Until he meet the gorgeous Julia and Carter doesn't know what happens to his world.

Trust me you will not be disappointed in this book. Can't wait to see what L.L. Collins does next.

What a beautiful read! I absolutely loved Carters story! I loved the mention of our favorites from The Twisted series. The friendship, love and family story lines are so touching. I look forward to more! Johnny maybe?

In an age of broken marriages, absent fathers and dysfunctional families, there has never been a greater need for spiritual fathers and mothers to reach out to younger men and women who are floundering in the confusions of life. Christianity was always designed to be built using this method, but the need today is greater than ever because there is such an absence of natural fathering. This book explains how you can start building 'monuments' in another person's life. It encourages you to 'make your mark' on an individual whom the Lord brings into your life. It demonstrates how you can leave a living legacy which can last for generations. After Dawson Trotman wrote the words above, he then added his own prayer, 'Oh Lord, help me build men, strong, holy, prepared men to go to the four corners of the world who will do the same.' Duncan Watkinson's book is a lifeline and an opportunity to such people,and to all Christians everywhere. It provides the ''How To'' of what Jesus has commanded us to do.Go and make disciples.This is a handbook to accompany your bible about investing your life others,being a father or mother to someone.''Making your own Marks'' as Jesus, Barnabas and Paul did. This book will change your life and the way you do things.

Very practical useful tool for discipleship or group study.

This is a great read and very practical on a topic that is so neglected in the Body of Christ today. I think our busy schedules and the many things that pull for our attention keep us focused on ourselves instead of seeing how we can make our mark onto the lives of others. Duncan uses personal stories and great illustrations to make discipleship practical. This book would be a great tool for a small group study as the chapters are short but provide plenty of material for discussion about application. Duncan's passion for impacting the lives of others and for applied Christainity will inspire you!

Milena M. Parent is an Associate Professor in the School of Human Kinetics, University of Ottawa, as well as an invited professor at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences. Lee Bouvier Radziwill's lifelong rivalry with her older sister, the late Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, was intrinsic to each woman's identity and fueled their individuality, according to this perceptive, unauthorized biography. New York-based freelance journalist DuBois portrays Radziwill as a desperately insecure, manipulative yet vulnerable woman whose descent into alcoholism multiplied her woes and left her children, Anthony and Tina, adrift and forlorn. Her recovery was assisted by third husband Herbert Ross, the Hollywood director, whom she wed in 1988 after two unhappy marriages-first to drunken homebody Michael Canfield, adopted son of publisher Cass Canfield, and next to Polish emigre prince Stanislas Radziwill, a London real estate mogul with whom, she belatedly discovered, she had little in common. DuBois traces her subject's insecurity to her divorcing parents-the alcoholic, philandering Wall Street stockbroker John Bouvier III and the ambitious, dominant Janet Norton Lee-who used their daughters as instruments of revenge in a bitter, ongoing feud. Overshadowed

If Lee Radziwell is ever referred to, it is usually in minor passages in Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis biographies; a minor character in the overblown legend of the Kennedy dynasty. Yet "In Her Sister's Shadow" offers a new view of Lee Radziwell and the parallels to her more famous sister.
The book covers Lee Radziwell's three marriages, two children, and multiple careers ranging from an author to an interior decorator to an actress. It also covers the unspoken rivalry between her and Jacqueline Kennedy. Though Lee was often considered the prettier and more interesting of the two, her sister became an internationally beloved figure. Lee's quest for happiness, glamour and fame is the central focus of this biography.
Upon finishing this book, it is easy to see parallels between Jackie and Lee: both married powerful men, both were reputed to be difficult to get along with, both thrived in glamour and fashionable circles. Yet Lee often seems to be the more interesting of the two, simply because she did not have the "Camelot" myth and the Kennedy aura paving her way. She stumbled and fell more often than Jackie, and her repeated attempts to pick herself up make her a more real and interesting person.
The writing style is somewhat gossipy, though not as explicit as is usual in Kennedy-related biographies. When love affairs and marriages are referred to, the references are usually tasteful and discreet, except for the description of an obscene art exhibit made by Truman Capone. The photos are excellent, displaying Lee in a variety of places and settings and in the different stages of her life, as well as ones of her children and ex-husbands.
Overall this is an intriguing read about an interesting woman who has been overshadowed for years by her sister. While readers may not truly like Lee when they are finished, it is difficult not to admire her.

Engrossing and Titillating but Ultimately Sad

It's old, and I had to order it in paperback, but, in my opinion, this is one of the best books on the Bouvier sisters ever written. Ms. Dubois gathered quotes and anecdotes from practically everyone Radziwill knew in her lifetime. Universally disliked, Radziwill is an aristocratic gold-digger extraordinaire and when she marries Herbert Ross the reader finds out the lengths to which Radziwill will go to in order to finance her lavish lifestyle. I recently read an interview with Radziwill where she trashed the memory of Ross, her last husband and I thought, "Par for the course." He died shortly after their divorce without hearing from her, except to squabble over a house in East Hampton. She knew he was dying and she figured she'd wait it out, thereby robbing Ross' children of the sole remaining asset of his estate. What a shameless, sad person she is. She lacked the warmth that her sister had, as well as the charisma. Jackie, a compassionate woman, cut her sister completely out of her will when she died, though, interestingly, she set up trust funds for Radziwill's children. That, alone, should tell you the type of person Lee Radziwill is.

How much is really true?

I have read several biographies on Jacqueline Kennedy and I was intrigued when I heard that one had been written about her sister, Lee. I read this book and enjoyed the gossipy details about the 1960s jet set and Camelot. However, this biography begins with Lee's first visit to AA in 1981 but never mentions her drinking again until more than halfway through. Then there's a brief chapter about her problem drinking and then it's dropped again. It just seemed to me that the author used the AA story line to snag the reader when that was unnecessary. Ms. Radziwill had/has a fascinating,privileged life. That is reason enough to read the book. Some of the stories were so bitchy that one must discount them at least partially. But there's enough there which rings with truth to keep you entertained.

Shaft Alignment Handbook

John Piotrowski did an excellent job in writing this book. You should be prepared to get a lot of math, but you will need this math to do proper equipment alignment. There is no holy grail in equipment alignment, just hard work. The information John has shared in this book will greatly improve your capabilities. The information in this book is some of the most useful info I have come across in my 40 years of industrial maintenance. Information is a mechanics number one tool.

Highly detailed treatment of shaft alignment methods

Very thorough treatment of shafts of motors and various methods to detect misalignment. Lists mechanical, otical, gage and laser methods to provide proper alignment. Limited treatment of vary large shafting and straightness; does address deflection due to mass effects.

Not the best in the series

Was not too impressed with this version from 3D total, the tutorials were too broad for the topic Sci-fi & fantasy and didn't offer specific types of tutorial topics other than how to paint a character or a landscape. And a good chunk of the book offered quick tips that would only be used for certain situations like "Draw a dagger" or "Draw a box and arrow." Finally, I'm always disappointed when the book does not have the tutorial for the cover art.

Before long, Zappa had taken over as singer, song writer and lead guitarist and together they exploded on to the San Francisco freak scene. Following the release of recordings such as Freak Out, Absolutely Free, We're Only In It For the Money and Hot Rats, Zappa's reputation in the United States and in Europe, especially the UK, Germany and Holland, took off. When the Berlin wall fell, Frank was surprised to learn that his extravagant music embodied sixties liberty for a generation of dissidents (including Vaclav Havel, who invited Zappa to be his minister for culture). Frank Zappa is an authoritative and hugely enjoyable portrait of a singular man and a vivid evocation of the West Coast scene.

Great for SPMI population

I lead anger management groups in a psychosocial rehab program, working mostly with adults who have severe and persistent mental illness. This workbook is simplistic enough for them to really grasp the concepts. Higher functioning adults might find it too simplistic, although the self-assessments are excellent and would probably be useful with any adult population. Many other anger management workbooks are very wordy, with pages and pages of stories and examples and lengthy explanations of concepts -- my clients lose interest in those types of workbooks FAST. I find that workbooks like "The Anger & Aggression Workbook" are much more effective with the particular population I serve. It provides easily reproduced assessments related to key areas of anger management, followed by simple related activities that encourage self-exploration and challenge the user to reframe their unhealthy patterns. I am able to teach and explain the concepts to the group myself, and use the activities in this workbook to supplement and as the starting point for group discussions. I wish this workbook provided more activities on assertiveness training, since that seems to be a key need for my population...Still searching for a good resource for that! But all in all, a good resource for helping clients get hands-on to build insight in an anger management class or group.

Not everything I had hoped for

My only real complaint about this book is that it claims to be for adults and adolescents. However, the big graphics and dumbed down language makes it more applicable to youth than adults. The message is good, I was just hoping for something more direct in its approach to anger management.
